Make your first AutoCast video in 5 minutes

From opening the app to exporting your first dubbed video — the fastest path through Record, Direct, and Ship.

Updated 2026-07-23 · AutoCast v3.0 · macOS 14+

Who this is for

Anyone opening AutoCast for the first time and recording their first video.

Before you start

Steps

  1. Open AutoCast and click Record. Choose your screen, window, or a specific app, and pick whether to include your camera and microphone.
  2. Do the thing you want to show. Talk naturally and click through your app or website as normal — AutoCast watches every click.
  3. Stop recording. AutoCast automatically adds cinematic zooms and pans based on where you clicked.
  4. Open Dubbing Review. Pick a target language. AutoCast clones your voice from the recording and generates a dub, line by line.
  5. Check the lines. Edit any translation that reads wrong, and use AI Shorten on any line flagged “Too long.”
  6. Export. Choose MP4 + SRT and pick your resolution.

What you should see

A finished MP4 in your export folder, in your own voice, with subtitles that match — ready to upload anywhere.
