Changelog
What's new in AutoCast
Current version: 3.0.1.
v3.0.1
- Fixed a crash when switching the interface to Chinese.
v3.0 — Editing, camera and vertical export
- Export vertical and square formats — 9:16, 4:5 and 1:1 alongside the original 16:9. Because AutoCast keeps your screen, camera and captions as separate layers, it re-composes the frame rather than cropping it.
- Reorganized editing timeline with clearer track order and per-track waveforms, so it's obvious what you're looking at.
- Camera background removal that traces your actual silhouette instead of cropping to a rectangle — built on macOS's native subject-lift technology, the same one behind Remove Background in Preview and Photos.
- Adjustable cursor size and opacity.
- Custom avatar support — use a photo or a Memoji sticker in place of a live camera feed.
- Voice sample recording to improve pronunciation when dubbing into English.
- Regional English wording (US / UK / AU) for translated scripts.
- Dual subtitle tracks — original and translated — with independent burn-in control, so you can preview either or both.
Earlier releases aren't listed yet — future updates will appear here as they ship.
