Effective July 23, 2026
AutoCast is made by Brand Frontier Capital, based in Melbourne, Australia. This policy explains what data AutoCast the app and autocast.studio the website collect, why, and what leaves your Mac. We wrote it to match what the app actually does — not a generic template.
On your Mac, never transmitted: your screen recording, camera video, and the original audio track of your recording. Speech-to-text transcription runs on-device via Apple Silicon.
Sent to our translation provider: the transcript text of your recording, so it can be translated into your chosen target language. Audio is not included in this request.
Sent to our voice-synthesis provider: the translated script, plus a voice sample (drawn from your recording's mic track, or from a separate reference sample you record in-app) used solely to clone your voice for that dub. Providers vary by the voice engine you select in AutoCast; all are contracted not to use your voice sample to train models available to other customers.
Stored locally on your Mac: your projects, exported videos, and any voice reference sample you record (at ~/.autocast/). Voice provider IDs (so your cloned voice can be reused across projects) are stored in your local app preferences.
AutoCast can only clone a voice you provide a recording of — your own. Don't use AutoCast to clone or impersonate anyone else's voice without their explicit consent; doing so violates our Terms of Service and, in many jurisdictions, the law.
If you purchase AutoCast Pro, payment is processed by our payment provider; AutoCast does not store your full card number. We retain your email and purchase history to manage your subscription and provide support.
autocast.studio uses privacy-conscious analytics to understand which pages are useful (e.g. page views, download clicks). We do not use third-party advertising trackers or sell browsing data.
If we materially change what data we collect or how we use it, we'll update this page and the "Effective" date above, and — for material changes — notify active subscribers by email.
